A Better Relationship Starts with Understanding
Many dog problems are not simply “bad behavior.” They are signs that something needs to be understood more clearly.
A dog may need more structure, more confidence, more movement, better communication, clearer leadership, or a healthier outlet for their energy. At Suisse Adventures, we look at the whole dog — not just the behavior in front of us.
You get out of your dog what you put into the relationship.
Time, patience, consistency, and clear communication are what create real progress.
The Evaluation
Every dog is different. Every home is different. Every owner has different goals.
That is why we begin with a full evaluation both inside the home and outside in the real world. Before building a training plan, we need to understand your dog, your goals, your environment, and the relationship between you and your dog.
First we clarify your goals: what kind of dog are we helping you build?
Family Companion — calmer, safer, more connected at home and in daily life
Adventure Partner — confident, responsive, and reliable outdoors
Service-Dog Prospect or Support Dog — structured foundation work and real-world reliability
Security-Aware Dog — confidence, control, neutrality, and clear handler communication
• • Livestock or Working-Property Dog — purpose-driven work, boundaries, and handler partnership
During the evaluation, we look at 10 key areas that help us understand your dog
1. Health & Soundness
2. Temperament & Obedience
3. Communication
4. Confidence in New Environments
